I understand that the World Health Organization has declared the novel coronavirus and any permutations ("COVID-19") a worldwide pandemic, and that COVID-19 is extremely contagious and spreads mainly from person-to-person contact.
I am voluntarily attending the Westside Burns Night Association (WBNA), Burns Night (Event) on January 25th 2022. I understand and acknowledge that my attendance at the Event may expose me to one or more persons who are infected with or been exposed to COVID-19. I further understand that WBNA will implement measures to minimize the spread of COVID-19 at the Event, and I agree to comply with all of WBNA’s rules, guidelines, and instructions accordingly. Notwithstanding WNBA’s preventative measures and my compliance, I acknowledge that WBNA cannot guarantee that I will not contract COVID-19.
I RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, COVENANT NOT TO SUE, AND INDEMNIFY, DEFEND, AND HOLD HARMLESS, to the maximum extent permitted by law, WBNA, any affiliated, controlled, or controlling entity of WBNA, and any officer, director, trustee, member, fiduciary, agent, employee, representative, insurer, or attorney of those entities, including, but not limited to, any such persons participating in the event or facilitating my participation in the Event (collectively, the "WBNA Parties"), from all liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO COVID-19 AS A RESULT OF MY PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT OR THE NEGLIGENCE, ACTS, OR OMISSIONS OF ANY OF THE WBNA PARTIES.
• I have read this release, fully understand it, and agree to it freely, knowingly, and voluntarily, without any inducement, coercion, or duress. This release is governed by Texas law without regard to its rules regarding conflict of laws.
